AP radiograph of the right hip of a 38-year-old male shows a blastic lesion located at the base of the neck of the femur. There is a central lytic area that suggests the nidus of an osteoid osteoma but, on more careful observation, reveals a stress fracture extending complelely across the neck of the femur.
