This coronal T1-weighted MRI study shows the diagnostic high signal features of a benign intramuscular lipoma that is very well marginated. It has the exact same signal as the adjacent subcutaneous fat. Note that there are small satellite, lobulated lesions on the lateral side which is typical of benign lipomas. There is no evidence of any bony involvement in the femur.
