AP radiograph of a stillborn infant who was born with extensive and generalized hemangiomatosis of almost the entire body as demonstrated by the large soft tissue enlargements about the trunk and shoulder areas with evidence of severe subadjacent bony dissolution, similar to what is seen in Gorham's disease. The child was viable until the time of birth, following which the sudden loss of pressure over the body soft tissue resulted in extensive filling of the capillary and cavernous spaces of the entire body causing a severe drop in blood pressure because the heart cannot develop pressure against a peripheral outflow system that had no elasticity.
