T1-weighted MRI image at a lower level in the proximal thigh area shows the signal abnormality deep and medial to the sartorius muscle, where the major vessels and the lymphatic channels pass. Here is a mixed high and low signal abnormality that would suggest a vascular condition such as a lymphangioma.
