This man was born with Type I neurofibromatosis. This photograph shows the cutaneous manifestations of that disease with multiple pedunculated fibroma molluskum seen covering the entire abdominal wall. In the left arm is evidence of elephantiasis neuromatosa, resulting in hypertrophic and loose hyperpigmented skin overlying the entire left upper extremity. This condition can be referred to as elephant man syndrome.
