IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
Sagittal T1-weighted MRI of the lumbosacral spine in a 35-year-old male with neurofibromatosis shows a low signal abnormality displacing the normal signal of the S2-3 portion of the sacrum. This causes no particular neurological deficiency to the distal parts. It has the appearance of a neurolemoma or perhaps a solitary plasmacytoma.
