This coronal T1-weighted MRI of both distal femori shows a definite low signal abnormality involving the distal meta-diaphyseal portion of the femur on one side with low-grade chronic dilatation of the medial cortex with thickening secondary to reactive new bone formation that suggests chronic inflammatory disease or possibly a neoplasm such as Ewing's sarcoma or even osteoblastoma.
