IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
A 3-year-old girl was brought to the emergency room one night with a patholigcal fracture through the mid-shaft of the femur. This AP radiograph shows a fracture through a granulomatous lytic process of the mid-diaphysis with soft tissue swelling about the area that could suggest the diagnosis of a Ewing's sarcoma or perhaps metastatic neuroblastoma. In this case, the diagnosis was eosinophilic granuloma.
