A 14-year-old boy presented with pain in the shoulder area for the past eight months. This AP radiograph of the clavicle shows a geographic lytic process within the central portion of the diaphysis of the clavicle with sclerotic reactive bone formation at the periphery producing slight dilatation of the outer cortex of the clavicle. This lytic process takes on the appearance of a benign process of an inflammatory nature such as a low-grade infection. Following a curettage of the lesion, a histological proved to be eosinophilic granuloma. The lesion went on to heal without disability and there was no local recurrence.
