This AP radiograph of the clavicle of a 16-year-old boy with pain in the area for the past five months reveals a motheaten, lytic process involving the mid-portion of the clavicle. There is reactive new bone formation at the periphery and the clinical picture suggests the diagnosis of osteomyelitis, however Ewing's sarcoma could also be considered. In this case, the entire clavicle was resected which is a very aggressive form of treatment for this condition.
