This sagittal gadolinium contrast MRI shows the high perfusion of the granulation tissue, especially into the floor of the vertebral canal secondary to eosinophilic granuloma. This patient was treated by a diagnostic laminectomy and biopsy of the vertebral body, but no futher reconstruction was required because of the age of the patient and location. The process went on to resolve spontaneously without further adjuvant therapy. If these lesions are more aggressive, they sometimes require low dose local radiation therapy.
