An 11-year-old girl presented with symptoms of dull aching pain in the distal thigh area for the past two months associated with low-grade fever and elevated sed rate. On this AP radiograph in the distal femur there is evidence of onion skin periosteal lifting of the distal femur along with diffuse sclerosis of the medullary canal, suggestive of a Ewing’s sarcoma. Biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of bacterial hematogenous osteomyelitis.
