IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
Biopsy specimen in the area of the onion skin periosteal changes shows microscopic evidence of bone callus formation of a reactive nature secondary to periostitis induced by bacteria. This is similar to the onion skin appearance in Ewing’s sarcoma.
