IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
A 77-year-old male presented with a painful mass in the anterior mid-thigh area. Axial T1-weighted MRI of the mid-thigh area reveals evidence of a low signal tumor mass that appears to arise from the anterior cortex of the mid femoral diaphysis, displacing almost the entire quadriceps area. Biopsy proved this to be a large cell lymphoma, or a periosteal lymphoma.
