Coronal T2-weighted MRI shows high signal abnormality in the area of the stress fracture through the sacral wing on one side and through the sacral foramena. This is often seen in patients with osteoporosis but this patient was an avid tennis player which created a stress fracture through the sacral wing. Following a period of rest, the pain subsided and the fracture healed.
