IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
AP radiograph of both hands reveals metastatic geographic lytic lesions in multiple bones of both hands that also proved to be metastatic renal cell carcinoma. Along with all these metastatic lesions the patient was also found to have an elevated parathormone level in the blood secondary to ectopic parathormone production by the renal cell carcinoma. Because the extensive nature of the disease, the patient died one year following the initial diagnosis.
