IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
CT scan through the area shows a large "dumb-bell" aneurysmal lesion with a very large extra-and-intrapelvic component that is pushing the bladder and rectum over to the opposite side. At the time of biopsy to rule out a metastatic hemorrhagic lesion, such as thyroid or renal cell carcinoma, the surgeons encountered massive amounts of old dark unclotted blood. The lesion was entirely hollow without any soft tissue component and no tumor tissue could be found.
