IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
Axial T2-weighted MRI shows a combination of both high and low signal features secondary to extensive hemorrhaging into the pelvis with erosion through the iliac bone as well. This same appearance is sometimes seen in patients with hemophilia. In this case, once the lesion was totally debrided and the patient stopped taking Coumadin the aneurysmal lesion gradually shrank away. She was doing well three years following that procedure.
