IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
AP radiograph of the ankle joint in a 43-year-old female who presented with pain in the lateral aspect of her ankle for the past two months. There is a permeative lytic process involving the distal metadiaphyseal portion of the fibula that on biopsy proved to be metastatic lung carcinoma. She was treated by local radiation therapy and died four months later.
