IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
AP radiograph of the knee joint of a 20-year-old female who gave a history of painful swelling in the knee for the past year. This film shows a slight lytic erosion in the proximal tibia just beneath the tibial spine with no loss of cartilage height on the articular surface. A synovial biopsy proved the diagnosis of pigmented villonodular synovitis.
