IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
Sagittal GRE T2-weighted MRI shows the high signal characteristics of the synovial fluid throughout the knee joint, surrounded by thickened and low signal synovial hypertrophy, typically seen in pigmented villonodular synovitis because of hemosiderin deposits in the synovial lining.
